If you have any concerns about introducing something new into a home, office or perhaps a Nursing Home, what could be better?  Fully functional as a Clock Radio and 240V mains powered, it also supports 2 x AA batteries to retain clock memory if power is disconnected.  The camera WiFi won’t function if power is disconnected but will auto resume when power is connected. 

Provided you have WiFi available wherever the camera is located (you must know the WiFi router password) you will have complete remote access to the camera from anywhere in the world using either local WiFi or any 4/5G mobile phone reception. It also supports P2P (Peer to Peer) technology meaning locally view the camera live on your phone App provided youn are within a 20m range of the Clock Camera.  P2P (Peer to Peer) isn't WiFi but similar to bluetooth.  P2P allows you to see the camera live, replay recordings and basically every other camera App function without the need for WiFi provided you are with a certain range.  In other words this device supports both P2P & WiFi. 

Can this Clock Radio Spy Camera see and record in total darkness?
You better believe it!  The built in NO GLOW Infra Red is amazing quality.  It can see up to 9m from the camera and in amazing quality.  Furthermore, there is nothing you need to do. If the room lighting reaches a certain low level, the No Glow IR will auto activate and if the room light is switched on, the camera auto reverts to colour.  Please note in IR mode, live viewing and recording is B/W.

Ideally suited to homes, offices, warehouses, sheds etc you name it.  This fantastic WiFi 4K Clock Radio Hidden Camera has a very covert pinhole 5 megapixel lens built in. To the naked eye no one will find it. Can I be alerted if the camera senses motion?
Yes of course.  The authorised user is able to simply switch PUSH ALERTS on/off.  When activated, each time the camera detects motion, not only will it record to the optional concealed micro SD memory card, but receive a chime or short phone beep ALERT which is free and slightly different to a text alert. 

By simply tapping on the push alert, users may live view or playback recordings in an instant. Easy to use and the App supports sharing with others if desired. 

Do I need to remove the camera memory card to playback recordings on my PC or MAC?
There’s no need to remove the Clock Cam SD. Should you prefer to remove the SD card then no problem but it’s just as easy to playback direct to your mobile phone.  Save any desired SD card recording direct to your phone memory if its important otherwise pop the SD card out, slot it into your computer Windows or MAC USB (we supply an SD card reader anyway) and with Windows Media player or VLC etc view or backup the entire card memory, it's totally up to you. 

What happens when the SD memory card is full?
Once again it’s just a matter of App settings. There are basically two SD card options from which to choose.

• Stop recording when the SD card is full
• Loop or Recycle Recording

STOP recording when full makes sense although selecting LOOP recording will over write from the earliest recording date.  Once the SD is full, from that point on, all new recordings will recycle or write over the earliest recordings first and it will do that time and again.  Therefore, the larger the SD cards (supports 32-128GB) take longer fill before recording recycle begins. 

What size memory card do I need?
This camera supports up to 128GB SD card that must be Class 10 or better, as HD recording demands a faster speed card to keep up with recording quality. 

Lets put this into perspective.  Recording resolution is selectable with 4K being the highest followed by 1080P or 640 x 480.   1080P HD it will use about 5MB of memory per minute of recording.  Therefore every hour of recording will require about 300MB of SD card memory space.  4K resolution is higher again but even better quality.  

32GB   = 10.6 hours

64GB   = 21.2 hours

128GB = 42.4 hours

For that reason we recommend the camera be set to MOTION DETECTION (MD) recording rather than constant recording even though it supports both.  When motion is detected the App allows the authorised user to decide the recording duration.  In other, words 1, 3 or 5 minute duration?  By selecting MD recording there is far less memory waste as there's no point continually recording no activity. 

If after the 1, 3 or 5 minutes duration the camera is still detecting motion it will keep recording anyway until motion stops so you don’t miss anything.  Another great feature of MD recording is the ability to more easily search for a specific event at a certain time.  MD is a recorded time and date stamped EVENT. 

Do I need to be LIVE viewing to record?
NO.  If you decide to use the camera for live viewing or LIVE listening an SD card isn't required.  That means the camera isn;t recording either although when live viewing or listening, the App does support recording direct to your phone, provided you are live accessing the camera.  The SD card simply records when you can't. Clearly it’s not feasible to remain logged in all day which is why it makes sense to use a memory card to record. 

What is scheduled recording?
This camera App is so smart, why not set SCHEDULED recording.  There's no need for the recording function to be active permanently.  If you need to set MD recording from say 4.00pm to 1.00am, no problem it can do that too. Outside of those times, regardless of motion it will not record.  Set Scheduled recording from your phone App.
