With our free smartphone App, listen live from anywhere in high quality digital format. The internal microphone is sensitive and can detect sound up to 8m or more depending on volume level.  

4G Connectivity
Normally, a digital recorder saves sound to an internal memory card that you have to physically retrieve later. A 4G recorder has a built-in cellular chip (like a smartphone).

The Concept: It uses mobile data networks to transmit sound. It uses sensitive microphones to pick up voices and ambient noise, converting them into digital files. This is the core function of the device. Unlike a camera that captures video, this is specialized for sound.

The Benefit: Listen to live audio or download recordings from anywhere in the world using an app, as long as the device has a 4G signal.

Example: Open an app on your phone and hear what’s happening in the office in real-time. It’s like the "Voice Memos" app on your iPhone, but inside a piece of hardware designed to stay powered on for long periods.

Summary Table

4G is more suited to those without WiFi connection. WiFi Audio Recorders are slightly different because it wirelessly connects to your local WiFi router and WiFi password. WiFi is virtually data free whereas 4G has a small monthly or annual fee. A standard smartphone voice and data prepaid or plan 4G SIM is required. 

Available with an external 1m flexible microphone as pictured or with the mic built in.  

As with any audio recorder, background noise such as TV audio, Radio, loud traffic noise, closing doors etc can all trigger recording.  The authorised user/s can elect to receive a push notification when audio volume above a certain DB level. 

Our 4G audio Recorder can function for days or weeks on just one battery charge, depending on how often it records and/or remotely accessed. For longer term use it may also be USB 5V powered or a powerbank. 

Real-Time
Standard audio recorders simply record to an optional SD card and recordings played either from the internal speaker or downloaded to USB PC. Our 4G audio recorder does NOT support an SD memory card as all recordings are auto uploaded to Cloud at no extra cost. Users access the Cloud to replay or download. Our WiFi Audio Recorders on the other hand support both SD card or Cloud. Only authorised user/s have access to these devices. 

4G & WiFi Audio Recorders are remotely accessed with playback and push alerts.  Standard Audio recorders have limited battery capacity and often a shorter recording duration. 

Customers supply their own 4G enabled SIM card. Visit a Telstra or Optus shop, buy a standard prepaid SIM with voice, data enabled (same as a phone SIM) where plan or credit is remotely topped when needed. These devices use small data packets or about 8MB per hour, 100 x less than video.

Our free phone App and/or PC Widget sets the device time and date, recording parameters. We supply our customers with easy to understand detailed screenshot instruction manual. 

From your mobile phone, simply call the device SIM to instantly opens a LIVE audio channel. The audio recorder will not ring or make any external sound. 

Remote access uses more battery power (just like a mobile phone) so if you intend to long term login, connect the audio recorder to a 5V power supply, similar to a USB phone charger.   

How long will the battery last?  
Depends on how often it's accessed, recording, and uploading.  If the battery is fully charged with continuous Cloud upload, allow for about 15-20 hours before needing a recharge which takes about 2 hours.

If on the other hand the device is set to Volume Detect only, expect up to 7 days from one battery charge.  In Audio Volume mode, receive push notifications when audio is uploaded. The device enters into a “hibernation mode” when not recording.  However, when audio above a certain DB level is deteted, it will auto wake and record for a specific time, perhaps a minute or more depending on settings.  If audio continues beyond 1 minute, it will continue to record in pre-set timed segments.  Once sound volume ceases it returns to “sleep mode” conserving battery power. 

Recording options are at user discretion. Device functions can be easily altered from your PC or MAC widget. Connect the audio recorder to PC USB (USB lead supplied) open the "audio monitor" widget, make any change, save and safely eject.  Audio recordings are time and date stamped for authenticity.  The “audio monitor” widget will copy the PC time and date or enter it manually. 

Auto save recordings when it detects sound but users also have the option to manually record so you never miss a thing.

Battery Life (The "Active" vs. "Sleep" balance)
The battery lasts a different amount of time depending on how hard the device is working.

Continuous Mode: If the device is recording and sending audio to the internet (Cloud) non-stop, the battery drains quickly (15–20 hours).

Hibernation (Sleep) Mode: To save power, the device can "sleep" when it’s quiet and only "wake up" when it hears a noise. This can make the battery last up to 7 days.

Audio Volume Detection 
Instead of recording silence, the device waits for a sound that is loud enough (a certain decibel level) to enable recording.

How it works: When it hears a sound, it records for a set time (like 1 minute). If the noise continues, it keeps recording in segments. When it gets quiet again, it goes back to sleep.

Example: It’s like a motion-sensor light on a porch. It stays off while it's dark and still, but the moment someone walks by, the light "wakes up" and shines.

The "Widget" (Settings Tool)
You manage the device using a small computer program called a "widget."

How it works: You plug the recorder into your PC or Mac using a USB cable, open the program, change your settings (like the date or sensitivity), and save them.

Example: It’s like setting an alarm clock. You plug it in, set the time you want it to go off, and then unplug it to put it on your nightstand.

Cloud vs. Local Storage
There are two ways the device saves your recordings:

The Cloud: The audio is sent over the 4G network to a server on the internet. You can get alerts on your phone when this happens and no subscription fees. 

Local Memory: The device has built-in storage. You can listen to these files by plugging the device into your computer. 4G units do not support an SD card its allCloud. 

Example: It’s like taking photos on your phone. You can save them just on the phone (Local), or use iCloud or Google Photos (Cloud) so you can see them from anywhere.

Time and Date Stamping
Every recording is marked with the exact time and date it was made.

Why it matters: This proves exactly when an event happened, which is important for "authenticity" (proving the recording is real).

Example: It’s like a digital postmark on a letter that proves exactly when it was mailed.

Scheduled Recording
The Widget allows for setting specific device wake up and sleep times. This function is ideal for routine monitoring which conserves battery power because it’s not recording 24/7 and only during scheduled times. 

Internal Memory Storage
In addition to cloud storage, internal memory can save up to 1 hour of constant audio before being overwritten which is why Cloud is preferred but if 1 hour is often adequate for many. You don’t need power, WiFi or Internet.  

Cloud Storage
The integration of cloud storage ensures recordings are safely stored and easily accessible, with low power consumption and long-lasting battery life.

We supply our customers only with a free 5V power adapter plus our detailed easy to understand user manual with actual setup screenshots, not to mention personal telephone support if needed.   

Remote Access via a Mobile Phone means you have direct access from anywhere as distance isn’t a factor.  If you’re unable to remotely login, the Audio Recorder will do it anyway. Each recording is a small time and date stamped file so click on any file to locally or remotely playback and/or save.

How Good is the Audio Recording Quality?
In a word…outstanding! Our WiFi and 4G Audio Recorders share similar audio quality.

Even over distance, the audio clarity is clear, taking into account any background noise. The App does support multi recorders. If you need more zones, order an additional 4G or WiFi Audio Recorder.

Manufacturer specifications maintain the Audio Recorder can detect sound up to 8m however, our in-house testing, depending on audio volume and surrounding noise, was even better at 10m or more.  Our WiFi Audio Recorders support both SD card (up to 128GB) or Cloud but battery duration is significantly longer than the 4G version.   

Can I share my device with others?
Yes, with granted password access, our App allows you (the authorised user) to share access with others.  Share with friends, family, and trusted work colleagues.
