    Our digital audio recorder saves sound to an optional internal memory card to physically retrieve later or remotely access.  

    The Concept: It uses a WiFi data network to transmit sound. It uses a sensitive microphone to pick up voices and ambient noise, converting them into digital files. This is the core function of the device. Unlike a camera that captures video, this is specialized for sound.

    The Benefit: Listen to live audio or download recordings from anywhere in the world provided the device receives a decent WiFi signal.

    Example: Open your phone App and hear what’s happening in the office in real-time. It’s like the "Voice Memos" app on your iPhone, but inside a piece of hardware designed to stay powered on for long periods.

Customers selecting the 4G model will require a standard prepaid 4G SIM card (which incurs standard network data fees, similar to a mobile phone).     The WiFi Audio Recorder features a high-fidelity audio sensor providing clear sound capture for comprehensive area coverage.     Ambient background noise can be configured to trigger automatic recording logging. Authorised users can easily enable or disable real-time push notifications via the application whenever audio volume exceeds a specific decibel (DB) threshold.

    Real-Time Remote Monitoring

    Standard voice recorders simply save data to an optional SD card, requiring manual playback via internal speakers or a USB connection to a PC. Our WiFi audio system supports secure Cloud uploads or an optional internal SD memory card (available at checkout). Authorized users can remotely access the secure Cloud storage or the internal storage to review or download audio files.

    Both our 4G and WiFi audio recorders feature remote management tools and automated security alerts. The internal storage card can be removed for playback on a PC or Mac, providing a distinct advantage over basic recorders with limited battery capacities and shorter operation cycles.

    A WiFi audio recorder operates highly efficiently, using small data packets (approximately 8MB per hour)—which is roughly 100 times less data usage than a standard video surveillance stream.

    Our free smartphone application or desktop software widget allows you to configure the system time, date, and operational parameters. Customers receive a detailed, easy-to-follow setup guide with screenshots, along with a standard 5V USB power supply to recharge the internal battery or power the system continuously for long-term deployment.

    Power Management & Battery Life

    Using remote app access and cloud playback functions consumes additional battery power (similar to a smartphone). For continuous, long-term deployment, we recommend connecting the unit to a standard 5V USB power supply.

    Battery Longevity Expectations: Battery duration depends entirely on your remote access frequency, recording schedules, and upload settings.

    • Continuous Sync Mode: If configured for constant network communication, expect approximately 15–20 hours of operation before requiring a standard 2-hour recharge.

    • Acoustic Standby Mode: When configured for Voice Activation Only, the system can achieve up to 7 days of operation on a single charge. In this configuration, the unit stays in a low-power "hibernation mode." When sound levels cross your predefined decibel (DB) threshold, the system automatically activates to log the event for a preset duration (such as 60 seconds). If the acoustic activity continues, the system logs subsequent segments sequentially. Once the ambient area falls silent, the device automatically returns to energy-saving sleep mode.

    All configuration options are completely at the user's discretion and can be adjusted by connecting the device to a PC or Mac via the supplied USB cable, modifying the parameters inside the system software utility, saving, and safely ejecting the hardware. All audio logs are stamped with the exact time and date for absolute authenticity.

    Selectable Operational Modes

    Outside of active recording schedules, this system maintains an automated standby state to conserve power. It utilizes an acoustic sensor to monitor for volume thresholds. Users can choose between three distinct power-saving profiles to balance battery conservation with network responsiveness:

    • Continuous Mode: The device maintains a constant network connection for on-demand audio verification. This mode supports loop recording (automatically overwriting the oldest data when the storage card is full). Because the network module remains constantly active, power consumption is higher.

    • Power Saving Mode A (Standby Current: 1.6mA/h): The device maintains an efficient network connection for rapid remote system access. Upon voice activation, the device logs the event for 1 minute or more and transmits a real-time push notification to your smartphone. This setting offers up to approximately 14 days of standby operation, depending on ambient environment activity.

    • Power Saving Mode B (Standby Current: 1mA/h): This is our most energy-efficient configuration. The network module activates remote check-in features within 1 minute of a sound-triggered event. Upon activation, the system logs the event for a pre-selected duration (1–30 minutes) and sends a notification to your connected device. This framework allows for up to approximately 20 days of standby operation depending on environmental variables (standby estimates are operational guides and vary by environment). If the installation area experiences high activity, power usage will naturally increase.

    Acoustic Volume Detection Instead of recording hours of empty silence, the system actively filters for ambient noise thresholds loud enough (a specific decibel level) to initiate an event log.

    • How it works: The device detects sound, logs the activity for your chosen duration, and resets to low-power standby once the room returns to baseline silence.

    • Example: This functions similarly to an outdoor motion-sensor security light. It remains completely idle until an event crosses its path, instantly activating to secure the data.
