AC-DC power supplies are very common and often used for charging various devices such as phones, so a an AC power supply connected to a power point, a power board, double adapter etc certainly doesn't look out of place.  

This makes for a very discreet covert surveillance device where even potentially suspicious partners wouldn't give it a second thought. After all this is real power supply not just a spy camera. The AC power supply adapter camera is brilliant for a number of reasons. It supports a rather discreet lid to conceal the micro SD card slot making the memory card totally secure even from the most prying of eyes.

This AC Power Adapter Camera is quite real. In terms of phone charging etc as this device has been modified, we recommend it be used as a camera only rather  than a USB charger even though it's supported.

This is the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) version so it doesn't support remote viewing or remote access. To view saved recordings, the memory card is first removed from the camera and using our supplied SD card reader, connect it to any PC or MAC USB to view saved video and audio recordings in real time.  Any event deemed to be important should be backed up to PC. 

SD cards are optional at the checkout and we supply memory cards with your order up to 64GB. It's a good idea to order your card from us as we pre-test your camera before overnight express post delivery. Hidden Camera Surveillance also provides easy to read instructions. If you supply your own micro SD card it’s important the card is Kingston or Sandisk brand Class 10 or better as we don't take responsibility for any non compliant memory cards.  If we supply the SD card with your camera, we test and set it up for you.  Insert a new or formatted micro size SD memory card into the AC adapter spy camera. Connect the Spy Camera to a wall socket and switch power on.

This hidden camera has a tint switch at the back to enable Constant recording or Motion detection recording.  Each motion detection event is between 1-5 minutes with duration selectable. All recordings are time and date stamped for authenticity. If motion continues beyond a preset time, the camera will continue to record until after motion stops. It will record high resolution video in real time in sync with very clear audio. Whilst the AC Spy Cam supports CONSTANT recording as well, often there is no need as motion detection will function very well and that suits the needs of most customers.

What is the Video & Audio Quality like?
It’s actually very high resolution (audio as well) and excellent in low light. This is not an Infra Red see in the dark camera as such but people rarely move about in complete darkness anyway.  If No Glow IR is your preference for whatever reason our WiFi IR clock cameras or Photo Frame Spy Cameras could be woth considering.  These hidden cameras are available in both WiFi or DVR models.

Can I view this camera live on my Iphone or PC?
No this DVR Spy Camera is not WiFi.

How long will an SD card record before its full?
This where motion detection is better suited compared to constant recording. If motion is detected, the AC Adapter Hidden Camera will record for 1 minute and after that time, it will enter in a standby waiting mode. To completely fill a 64GB SD card at HD quality takes about 10-12 hours of constant recording so its very unlikely to happen short term.

One of the new functions of the AC Australian covert spy camera is the ability to set various recording qualities. 720P has a slightly more narrow field of view although 720P uses far less memory or about half that of 1080P. The recording quality is still very good, especially close up. if resolution is not the most important factor, lower resolution 480P is also available so by lowering the video recording resolution (not the audio) this device could in effect record for up to 48 hours before the memory card is full.

When the SD card is full you have the option to select Loop or Recycle older recordings first of STOP recording when full. LOOP will slowly over write the internal memory commencing from the earliest recording time and date. It won’t delete all recordings but slowly over write commonly referred to as "recycle recording". Any important event to be retained should be saved to PC or MAC so it's not lost.

How do I adjust the camera angle?
The lens is fixed wide angle about 100 degrees and about 15 degrees up and down. If you have any concerns about angles or observing an entire room, we recommend using a double adapter as that provides and nice 45-degree upward angle. Otherwise a simple 4 way power board is ideal as it can be connected to any power point and the angle of the camera can be adjusted up or down by tilting the power board. Perfect as Nanny Cam, office or home surveillance, undercover covert security, motel rooms, Police and Private Investigators.

When conducting surveillance in your home or office, some are limited as to what can be added to the existing decor without attracting the attention of a non trusted business partner, flat mate, lover, friend, motel staff, cleaner or nanny etc.

Most homes and offices have multiple AC adapters powering all types of devices and gadgets. Adding one more shouldn't raise any suspicion. If you have an unobstructed AC power outlet facing the area you wish to record, then this is one of the better choices available to you. A. Yes, the USB power interface at the base this AC adapter does actually work.

Q. Does this hidden camera record audio?
A. Yes, this hidden camera records high quality audio in sync with the video and its very clear. 

Q. Does this hidden camera have the ability to record at night in complete darkness?
A. While it does have a very low LUX rating (less that 1 candle-light) it doesn't have IR night vision capabilities. A standard 40-60W light bulb should provide ample lighting under normal conditions.

Q. Does this require special memory cards or can I use my own?
A. We use Kingston Class 10 or better micro SD memory cards but we can't test all SD card brands.  We do offer competitive prices on high quality memory cards anyway and if you order from us, we test the camera before dispatch.

Q. What is the warranty term and how fast is a repair or replacement turnaround?
A. 1 year warranty. We are normally able to replace any faulty product within about 48 hours once we receive the defective item. Issues caused by non compliant memory cards or accidental damage is not warranty. Often a camera reset will resolve any issue.

A. The camera lens is concealed but wide angle. If the power point is low to the floor, use a double adapter or a power board of some kind and that way the camera angle can be easily tilted any direction.
