WiFi Table Clock 1080P HD

So how does it all work? Everyone has a wall or desk clock so the introduction of a desk clock isn't unusual. Our new HD Desk Clock Camera is small and fully functional.  Unklike some of our other clock cameras, it doesn’t have a radio but then again, not everyone wants it.  For other WiFi clock cameras that do infact have a radio built in, see our WiFi Clock radio with Bluetooth or our Weather Station with Clock and Radio

The idea is to initially use the clock as any other, don’t install the micro SD card or connect to WiFi for the time being, especially if you have any concerns about introducing something new into the home or office. When the time is right, insert a class 10 or better micro SD card into the back of the clock, which can be from 16GB up to 128GB capacity and then connect to WiFi.

This HD clock camera is supplied with an internal rechargeable lithium Ion battery so it can function on its own power for 3-4 hours, however Hidden Camera Surveillance will provide our customers with a 5V USB power adapter/charger at no extra cost. Best to plug the clock into power which not only recharges the battery but will keep the clock and WiFi functional indefinitely.  If power is switched off the internal battery will auto take over. If being powered it's wise to remove the battery anyway as it won't be needed. 

Please note this is not a permanent security camera and should be used only for limited surveillance purposes. When not in use, a switch at the back of the clock should be OFF then switched ON again only when needed. 

How does the Night Vision Infra Red work?
There is really nothing for the user to do its all built in and being No Glow Infra Red means that even in a totally dark room, the IR is NOT visible.  When room lighting is normal the video recording is colour.  The camera can sense a person moving within 5-6 metres of the device. It can be set to continuous recording if otherwise motion recording. This WiFi Desk Clock Camera will auto switch between colour and IR B/W depending on lighting conditions.

How does WiFi Setup Work?
Setting up this Internet streaming WiFi camera is easy and takes just a few minutes from your IOS or Android smartphone.  Install the free App, open your phone WiFi settings, wait until you see the camera UID which is a series of letters and numbers and then open the App. This is local P2P or LAN allowing users to access the camera live regardless of WiFi.

To remotely view your camera from another location, open the camera settings, select WiFi, select your router and WiFi password. Now you have remote camera access from anywhere.  

There is an option to change the password, enter motion detection or continuous recording modes, record in HD quality or lower (selectable) and save recordings to the optional internal memory card. If live viewing, users may even record direct to mobile phone memory if preferred. Listen into conversations surrounding the camera, receive motion push alerts, locally or remotely LIVE VIEW the camera, access SD card recordings and so much more. 

Because the Clock camera is also AC powered, stream live 24/7 but you must have WiFi enabled at the clock camera location.  Some customers are concerned that if others are sharing WiFi in the home or office, those people will see the camera as well. That’s not the case. Remember you need our App first of all and others won’t have it.  The camera is also user name and password protected so there is no unauthorised use and apart from all of that, on WiFi the only reference to see is a long series of letters and numbers.  There is absolutely no mention whatsoever to anything related to a clock, hidden camera or anything of that nature. To an outsider it could be the neighbour’s WiFi hot spot so it’s quickly disregarded and as mentioned, can’t be accessed anyway.   

What happens when the SD card is full?
Remember your don’t have to use a memory card at all.  View the camera live and be remotely alerted to motion so you can record to your smart phone if live viewing.

Often we find a 32GB Class 10 SD card is adequate (you can order from HCS online) but remember, the camera can be App set to to either STOP recording when the SD card is full or LOOP record which basically means when the SD card is full, overwrite from the earliest recording date.  If constantly recording to a 32GB micro SD card at 1080P quality, the SD card would be full in about 5-6 hours and for that reason motion detectionrecording is preferred. You select recording duration upon motion which can be anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes so you won’t miss anything.  With continual movement there will be continual recording anyway.

Can I be alerted if motion is detected?
Yes the App app has the option to receive motion push alerts. Once received, login to the camera from your mobile phone from anywhere in the world, view the camera live and playback saved SD card recordings. Check in on your babysitter, pets, loved ones, or keep an eye on your office any time and from anywhere in the world from either another WiFi Location or 4G.
