When introducing something new, it's wise to initially use the device as normal clock without the micro SD card and not connected to WiFi, especially if you have any concerns that someone could be a little suspicious. When the time is right, insert a 32-128GB class 10 or better micro SD card (optional at checkout) into the back of the clock then connect to to your home or office WiFi.
We provide our customers step by step screenshot instructions but we can also assist by phone or email if needed. 12 months warranty is included but stock is now very limited.
This HD clock camera is supplied with an internal rechargeable lithium Ion battery so it can function on its own power for several hours however, Hidden Camera Surveillance will also supply at no extra cost, a 5V USB Australian power adapter which can be used to charge the battery and/or power the camera for longer term use.
Please note this is not a permanent security camera and should be used for limited surveillance purposes. When not being used, switch the device off at the rear of the clock but leave the time display on.
How does the Night Vision Infra Red work?
There is really nothing for the user to do. This is an auto night vision function built in. No Glow Infra Red means that even in total darkness, the invisible IR can both see and detect motion at any time. Night vision stealth recording mode is B/W so the No Glow Spy Camera IR will auto activate when light level is low. If a light is switched on the camera auto switches to colour mode.
The hidden clock camera can sense and trigger motion recording when a person moves within 5-6 metres of the clock cam. Continuous recording is available as well. When the room is dark the auto no glow IR sensors kick in. The device will auto switch between colour and IR B/W recording depending on lighting levels.
Tell me how the WiFi Setup Works?
Setting up this Internet streaming WiFi camera is easy and takes just a few minutes and is carried out directly from your IOS or Android smartphone. Simply download the App, follow a few prompts to be live viewing within minutes. Once you see the camera live the options from that point are huge.
To remotely view your camera from another location, select your router and WiFi password. The camera will then reboot and the next time you live view the spy camera you can see it from anywhere.
The authorised user may change the password, select a preferred recording resolution with audio, live view or download recordings to your phone memory, decide whether to receive motion push alerts, playback recordings remotely and much more. Even a recording "schedule" can be set to auto arm and disarm the camera at times of your choice.
Because the Clock camera is also AC powered (5V Power supply provided) it will stream live 24/7 but you must have WiFi enabled at the clock camera location. Some customers are concerned that if others are sharing WiFi in the home or office, those people will see the camera as well. That’s not the case. Remember you need our App and others won’t have it. The camera is user name and password protected so there is no unauthorised use. Phone WiFi settings will not reveal any reference to a clock, spy camera or anything of that nature. To an outsider it could be a neighbouring WiFi hot spot quickly dismissed and can’t be accessed anyway.
Once you have the App installed on your phone with access to the camera live, set the camera App to follow your guide and those App settings can always be remotely changed at any time.
What happens when the SD card is full?
Remember your don’t have to use a memory card at all. The user may view the camera live and be remotely alerted to motion so you can if desired, record directly what you see to your mobile phone. If inconvenient then by all means allow the camera to record all motion to the internal concealed memory card.
Often we find a 32GB Class 10 SD card is adequate (order from HCS online) however, you may also set the camera to either STOP recording when the SD card is full or LOOP record. Recycle or Loop means when the SD card is full, slowly starting overwriting from the earliest recording date. You select the motion detected recording duration anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes at a time so you won’t miss anything. If there is continual movement it will continually record anyway.
Can I be alerted if motion is detected?
Yes of course. The free app has the option to add one or more email addresses to receive motion alerts and with that alert a picture is attached. Once received you may login to the camera from your mobile phone from anywhere in the world, view the clock camera live and playback recordings from the internal memory card.
Check in on your babysitter, pets, loved ones or keep an eye on your office any time and from anywhere in the world from either another WiFi Hotspot or 3/4G cellular network.
