Removing an old peephole may leave an unsightly hole in the door however with our new Video Doorbell this new Peephole Smart Door Viewer slips into the existing door peep-hole. Easy enough for anyone slightly handy as it only requires a few screws to complete the installation within minutes. Otherwise drill a camera door chime hole through the existing door and the LCD colour monitor is mounted to the camera bracket on the door inside. Easy to follow instructions are provided and remember, it’s all battery powered.

As mentioned previously, peephole devices otherwise referred to as a peekhole, spyhole, doorhole, magic mirror, doorbell camera or door viewer etc all served a purpose, although none of those match our new Door Camera & Motion Recorder. The trouble with the old technology is when someone comes knocking on the outside and you look through the old peephole to see out, the person on the outside will see the peephole light become blocked so that person instantly becomes aware the premises is occupied.
Another device available anywhere is called a “reverse peephole viewer”. The reverse peephole viewer is simple – just place the viewer up to any standard peephole and the viewer will reverse the view, allowing anyone to see through the old peephole to the other side. This tiny device is the opposite to a peephole where the person outside can look through your door peephole without your knowledge to see who maybe INSIDE the house or apartment. That’s not possible with our LCD door camera monitor and recorder. It’s frightening yes but it happens regularly. If you don’t know the person on the other side, be cautious opening that door as home invasion is all too common.
Our all new and amazing colour Doorbell Camera is outstanding. It’s all very well to have a basic camera and monitor but what’s the point, you want the option to record any unknown person on the outside. Remember the identity you capture could be crucial to police for criminal ID.
If someone presses the door chime or stands at your front door for more than a few seconds, our Digital Door Camera Viewer will capture time and date stamped pictures or video with audio day or night and save those recordings to a built in micro memory card up to 32GB. However, let’s say someone approached the front door to listen for any internal noise. The monitor will auto illuminate so you can instantly see, even from a distance, someone is at the door and its recording.
Who knows what their intentions may be however, that unknown person didn’t even touch the camera door chime? To the uninvited person on the door outer (smart as he/she thinks they might be) they will have been photographed or video recorded anyway as the camera is movement activated. This rather smart door cam will silently and discreetly video and audio record regardless. It’s brilliant and an amazing yet inexpensive essential security tool.
To playback captured video or still picture recordings, do so directly from the large 10cm colour LCD monitor. Otherwise, remove the camera memory card to replay and save recordings to PC. The Peephole Smart Door Viewer is also ideal for when you are NOT at home. The camera will retain a record of who knocked or lingered at the door during your absence. It could be a courier driver, perhaps a friend or neighbour or someone potentially casing the area. The built in IR even allows for the tiny camera to discreetly record even in total darkness.
How does it work?
This is our all new and latest design Digital Door Viewer Recorder with mini camera and a large 4.1” (10cm) colour LCD monitor. A peephole camera is a small nice looking alloy digital video camera designed to fit into your home or apartment new or existing door peephole. It provides much better wide angle view compared to an old style peephole lens and includes IR night vision all connected to a battery powered LCD 1080P HD colour display. The screen features a setup menu to enabling you to clearly see who is on the other side but also two-way talk to that person through a mini speaker and microphone. Push button instant recording is available if desired and be secure in the knowledge that the door won’t be opened to a stranger. Great for kids at home too.

What camera & Monitor colours are available?
Currently the system is available in Black or Bronze as pictured. The camera housing is alloy so it’s quite strong and robust whereas the monitor is a lightweight plastic type casing with an LCD colour screen. The internal battery is rechargeable lithium, and we provide a 5V USB charger with each camera.
How long will the battery last before it requires a recharge?
Generally, about 3-6 months depending on how often the camera is used and recording.
Is the camera wide angle?
Yes 135 degrees so wide angle viewing.
What about the recording quality?
High res 1080P HD or 720P with noise cancelling audio included.

The mini colour pinhole day night camera really doesn’t look like a camera at all but make no mistake, it’s packed full of features. Users can easily change settings from the monitor at any time. If you don’t want the camera to record on motion, switch the feature off. If you don’t need the IR then switch off too as it only takes a moment and that’s the beauty of it all, arm and disarm functions and features as you please.
As mentioned previously, to the elderly or children, those alone at home etc, it’s not really a good idea to open a door when your DON”T know who is on the other side. When a person on the outside presses the chime, the LCD will auto switch on. That means that those indoors can clearly see who is on the other side without pressing an eye up to a peephole. This model features and high-resolution 4.1” colour LCD monitor so even from a distance, there is no mistake and at least you know whether it’s safe enough.

How easy is it to install this door chime kit?
In most instances just a few minutes, especially if this camera kit is replacing a standard peephole. Otherwise drill a hole through the door between 16-40mm diameter. The camera fixes to the outer door hole and the connection cable passes through the door hole and interfaces with the back of the monitor. No wiring is required it’s basically a plugin connection.
A small steel mounting bracket is supplied with the kit so it must be attached to the back of the door on the other side of the door hole. Once the bracket is fixed in position, the LCD monitor slides onto the bracket. Job done. No need for professional installation it’s easy enough for anyone even remotely handy. I diagram is provided with each kit anyway.
