XR-2500 Extra Long Range gate alarm kit is probably the highest performing gate alarm on the world market, enabling entrances to be monitored thousands of metres away from your house. The XR-2500 uses our XR-LoRa wireless protocol which has an extended wireless range. That range can be significantly extended with our optional High Gain external antenna but often not required. If your entrance way is less than 35m wide and a considerable distance from your house, this system is ideal. 

800-1200m range through trees is typical without a High gain antenna but very much site dependent.  When inquiring we will typically want to evaluate your site using Google Earth to ascertain whether the system will work on its own, or whether it may need additional hardware. 

Pictured below is a 4 Channel base receiver, 4 solar powered beam sets and an indoor antenna. Each kit a supplied with a solar beam set transmitter.  

Extra beam sets are optional and available by order.  The 4 channel base receiver is 12V powered and placed within a house, office or shed. When the base receiver is motion triggered its sounds a volume controlled audio alert and LED blink visual. The audio is easily muted if desired.  The base receiver is not weatherproof but can be moved from room to room or to any other location within wireless range.

However, if the wireless range becomes interrupted, try and relocate the receiver close to a window to reduce obstacles.  The beam set transmitter and base receiver constantly communicate between the two. If the wireless range becomes blocked or hampered, the base receiver will alert. Often moving the receiver just a few metres can make all the difference.  

The XR-2500, like all of our models, uses a proper photo-electric beam, making it far more immune to false alarms as its not affected by wind, rain, moving branches and sudden heat changes. Two-way Radio Supervision and On-board Diagnostics (displayed on Base Receiver) are features alarm installers routinely expect on wireless equipment – so significantly more advanced compared to PIR type kits. Think of the driveway beam sets like 2 lazer beams aimed at one another about 1m from ground level.  Someone or something must simultaneously break both beams to trigger a wireless alert.

Using the photo-electric beam, it's more immune to false alarms.  Never miss a customer or intruder again.

Two-way Radio Supervision and On-board Diagnostics (displayed on Base Receiver) are features alarm installers routinely expect on wireless equipment.  The XR-2500 is compatible with optional auxiliary devices such as our long range UHF paging system or Text Message Module, and easily interfaces with Alarm Panels.

The XR-2500 is different to the standard system. A standard beam-set can’t be mixed with different systems. In some cases, even with our Standard system a range-boosting High Gain External antenna will significantly increase the wireless beam set range. In other words there are plenty of alternatives for even the most challenging terrain. The drawbacks to consider are the additional installation time and hassle, the cost of an antenna and the eventual deterioration of an outdoor antenna. The other drawback is your base receiver must stay in the location the antenna cable has been routed to. We recommend using XR-2500 beams all-round if this situation comes up but you are welcome to discuss the different options with us.
