How does it work?
Its all rather easy and very clever actually. If for whatever reason you have a need to discreetly record a personal conversation between one or more people, or you simply want to record whatever you can see without attracting attention, these DVR reading glasses could be just what you're looking for. Make no mistake the video and audio quality is very good so the idea is to try and keep you head as still as possible thus allowing the camera to record at higher quality.
If these spy glasses are being worn as Body Cam, moving you head from side to side results in recording which can be hard watch. A little practice beforehand will go a long way. No need to fiddle about with on off switches as the camera doesn't have one which is a good thing. On the left side of the reading glasses, touch the outer arm for 3 seconds tp activate the camera and recorder. If wearing or hand holding the glasses, you will sense a short vibration similar to a phone text.
To stop recording and power the camera off, simply repeat the touch process. The vibration is now lightly longer so you don't need to look at the glasses but rather feel the camera mode. Whether the glasses are being worn or hand held is immaterial but you can of course still see when the spy camera is recording as the inner arm has a tiny green LED which blinks slowly when armed. If for any reason this concerns you, just put a little black electrical tape over the LED to block it.
How long does the battery last?
In terms of battery capacity and how long this hidden camera will record before needing a recharge, we provide 2 arms with each camera including a dual battery charger. Each arm has it's own internal rechargeable mini lithium battery built in. When the battery is depleted and recording stops, remove the arm and replace it with the secondary identical arm to commence recording again.
Recording duration may vary between cameras and for several reasons. Please note this is NOT a camera fault. Temperature will always play a role but there are other considerations as well such as switching the recording or camera on/off and how often. Recording is millions of moving pixels so the more movement or the larger the scene, brightness etc all serves to play a role in battery capacity or recording duration. Generally thers is no overall accuracy to this question but allow between 45 to 75 minutes per battery arm as there are too many factors to take into account.
