Description
This 7” DVR AHD Quad Colour monitor is significantly better than most.  Cameras 1, 2, 3 & 4 are simultaneously displayed as a quad or 4 way view as pictured below.  However, drivers have the option to switch between single camera full screen, 2 way split screen or a quad view. Furthermore, any camera can be relayed to display a full screen view when reverse gear is selected.  When Drive is selected all 4 cameras will auto resume the quad view.  The same applies to vehicle indicators. When the left or right indicator is selected, this triggers the appropriate camera to display full screen. The point is the monitor supports those functions, but the decision to use them is yours.  

Ideal for cars, buses, trucks, forklifts, agricultural machinery, cranes, mining trucks etc.  When the vehicle ignition or accessories is switched on/off so too will the mobile camera kit.

It’s important to understand that not all cameras and monitors are the same, particularly when used in mobile situations.  Our 10G rated IP69K cameras and monitors are solid state meaning unlike others, they won’t fail due to constant mobile vibration, and we offer 12 months fault replacement warranty.

Why are there two camera types?

Pictured below are 4 x AHD mobile cameras supplied with this Quad camera kit. All cameras are IP69K rated including IR night vision and all support mirror & flip views. Camera kit contents are different to ordering specific types of cameras whilst monitors are also available in various sizes including 5, 7 and 9” models.  Some AHD monitors are single camera full screen view only whilst others support dual cameras with a 2 way split screen or a 4 channel quad camera view. In this case the DVR monitor isn’t just a quad view but a 4 camera channel recorder.

• The two rectangular shaped cameras (model CCD-662) are designed for reverse or forward view.
• The two round shaped cameras (CCD-680) with a flat mounting base are sideview cameras. These cameras can be mounted forward or backward, and the round lens manually rotated in any direction to obtain that perfect frontal or rear facing side view.

Is IP69K waterproof?

Products that carry the IP69K rating are ideal for facilities where hygiene and cleanliness are critical, as they are proven to be durable and resistant against water, chemicals, high pressure, and high temperatures associated with demanding cleaning and OH&S measures.  This camera is 10G shockproof and weatherproof.

Is this reversing camera system easy to install?

Other than mounting a few brackets its very much straight forward although you do need to connect the monitor to vehicle power.  In this regard yes DIY if confident otherwise any local auto electrician will have it completed in next to no time with quality assurance. Please note we don’t warrant damage against improper or unauthorised installation.

This 7” DVR colour TFT LCD vehicle monitor & camera kit consists of an ultra-high definition colour LCD screen offering significantly higher visual resolution compared to others. There’s no visual benefit in using an Ultra-High definition 1024 x 600 monitor if the camera/s are lower quality or not to the same monitor standard.  The supplied AHD 4PIN connector cables (various lengths available) connect each camera to the monitor. The monitor connects to vehicle power (12V to 36V) which in turn powers each vehicle camera. Trigger wires with adjustable time delay inputs, enable indicators or reverse gear to trigger an AV channel full screen.  

This 4 way rear view camera kit has voltage overload and reverse polarity protection to ensure the hardware isn’t damaged by fitting mistakes. The metal alloy U bracket (pictured) allows for the monitor to be dash or roof mounted whilst the bracket tilt allows for that perfect visual view. Stylish front panel touch button control with built-in auto night and light sensing.

4 Pin Din Cables

4 Pin Din Cables as pictured below are vital to the kit. Pictured below is the actual cable depicting the male and female 4 Pin connectors. One end connects to the monitor DIN lead with a secure screw thread fitting and the opposite end of the cable fixes to the camera connector as pictured below.

Sin Cables are available in various lengths ranging from 5,10,15 and 20M.  If you have a particular cable requirement (cables can be joined & length extended) call our office before ordering. Din cables are robust, weatherproof, and designed for Analogue High Definition not necessarily standard low resolution cameras. HCS DIN cables are now upgraded from standard 4mm to AHD 4.5mm. The sheathed copper wire provides not just longer life but higher quality signal. Other cables have a thinner and cheaper copper core with little or no wiring protection and not up to this standard.  

This monitor image depicts the reversing or backup guidelines. The “Image Flip” demonstrates a mirror view and a standard non-mirror or real front and rear camera view. Both the guidelines and Image flip function can be switched on/off.
